Television Celeb Ernie of Sesame Street fame stopped by our SF store right before Trick or Treating. It's been 40 years since his last striped sweater purchase. It's time for something new for this little guy:
Jean-Pierre His face may not be particularly familiar among most households in the States, but Jean-Pierre Leaud is one of the greatest icon's in French New Wave cinema.
From his 20-year portrayal of Truffaut's Antoine Doinel to his intellectual, Marxist characters and brilliant cameos in Godard's films, Jean Pierre has always pushed the boundaries of social norm and expectation.
Without leading men like Leaud, Scott Sternberg wouldn't have French male muses for his collections and Jason Schwartzman would most likely be wearing and acting in very different films. His style, his rich multi-faceted performances and his understated French cool make him a favorite man of style.
Our take on his look:

If there is anything we love more, it's a dirty Frenchman. From playing piano in the Milord L'Arsouille night club to his rich success as the most famous and controversial singer/songwriter in French pop music, Gainsbourg is the epitome of male sensuality, coolness and creativity, which won him some of the most famous affairs with the sexist women in France (a marriage with barely-legal Jane Birkin and the Bonnie to his Clyde, Brigitte Bardot).
Certainly being in his influence and gene pool allows for future stylish and talented musicians/actors, like this little powerhouse.
This is our casual, modern take on Gainsbourg's look:

Robert Redford California-born actor/director Robert Redford is the poster boyman for the rugged, all-American style. Surf blonde hair, blue eyes and steel-y good-looks may have given him head way in Hollywood, but this two time Oscar winning tough guy is also a powerful storyteller, directing of some of the best films we've ever seen in our lives (Ordinary People, The Milagro Beanfield War, Quiz Show). Good looks, great wardrobe and high intellect makes Robert oneof our favorite men of style.
We especially love his desert cowboy look in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid; dusty boots, cord blazer, tight black jeans, white long johns and a cowboy hat. Here is our version of some tough guy attire for your inner Redford:
