Women of Style: Kristen Mcmenamy

Kristen Mcmenamy

 This woman needs little introduction. She is a model for a woman with smarts, with an adrogynous face and an ability to morph into any look with ease, from 90s supermodel pretty to grunge, to completely alien.
 

It's powerful to see her in her mid-40s walking current runways for designer Calvin Klein, featured in avant garde SS2011 pieces for Gareth Pugh and gracing the covers of i-D, Love and Vogue Italia.

 

It goes so show that women any age can still look beautiful. She still has one of the most spectacular bodies we have ever seen and her signature silver hair has been inspiring girls a fraction her age to dye theirs grey.



We love her off duty style too, usually in shades that compliment her famous hair.

Sometimes it feels like we are running around in circles, trying to be patient and keep sane when it comes to waiting for our Spring/Summer shipments (Filippa K, Helmet Lang, Band of Outsiders, RVCA). The excitement is just too unbearable.

A Rock n Roll Company That Works Like a Swiss Watch

This fall/winter 2009 show was such a spectacular show, we didn't know how they would top such an extravagant presentation. And then came the spring/ summer 2010 show. No dancers or crazy antics. All they had to show was the excellent craftsmanship of G Star's sleek, utilitarian style.

We wanted people to wear head-to-toe white all summer because it looks clean, fresh and surprisingly bold. It looks like for G Star's spring/summer 2010, it's going to be just that. Spectacular.
