Laura coat in black (also available in grey mel)

XS, S, M, L
This is sleek simplicity with a modern twist. It has a a larger, baggier fit that is cinched at the waist with a tie to contrast the drapiness of the coat. It also features bat-wing sleeves to give the coat volume in just the right places. This uncomplicated, fresh design is a perfect addition to any well edited, stylish wardrobe. Here we took off the coat tie and added our Wide Strappy Belt ($139, size S only).
Funky Legging in black
$149
XS, S, M
Styled with our Mohair Jacqaurd Cardigan in Midnight ($449, XS, S) and Men's Douglas Zip Boot, these semi-matte leggings is an essential piece for winter. Like our higher-waisted shinier version, these leggings are extra soft to the touch and have a lasting durability. They run true to size and can be worn with everything, from a chunky wool sweater or under an a-line mini.
Penny Duffel Coat in camel
$549
XS, S, M
Scandinavian winters can be quite harsh and a winter coat must stand against the shivering Swedish wind chill. Our toggle coat still holds against all the horrible cold that Skadi, Nordic goddess of winter, attacks us with. With horn-inspired toggle buttons and an extra cozy hood, this little coat maintains a girlish youthful style while bundling you up for winter. It runs slightly bigger for heavy layering.
leather pencil skirt in claystone
$499
XXS, XS, S
With a stream-lined fit crafted by only the best tailoring, a long, exposed side zipper and an unusual, but completely wearable, truffle brown color, this little leather pencil skirt has become another favorite at the store. Here we styled it with our Light Stretch Shirt in blue stripe and our Washed Lambswool Beret in blue.
Sheer Stripe Blouse in dusty blue
$169
XS, S, M
Reminicent of blouses women wore in 1910, our Sheer Stripe Blouse is our twist on the classic masculine-feminine looks seen in films like Coco Avant Chanel or in Ken Russel's post-mod photography of Teddy Girls in London. It and has carefully placed pleated details, quarter length sleeves and a collarless neckline. For a perfect la garconne look, pair with baggy black trousers, platform stillettos and a men's fedora hat.
wool jersey zip skirt
$189
XS, S, M
Nothing shows off a pair of long legs better than a very short skirt. Much like our leather pencil skirt, this black wool, jersey blend skirt has an exposed side zipper in rich gold. We recommend pairing this micro mini with heavy tights and chunky ankle boots.
Our model Taryn wears an XS top and S bottoms.

I think all of us have a love hate relationship with the fashion world. Sometimes, it gets to be too much for some of it's most talented people.
We didn't read her blog because she was beautiful or that she was famous. We read it because she was a smart, funny and an interesting human being who had a lot of potential.

This fall/winter 2009 show was such a spectacular show, we didn't know how they would top such an extravagant presentation. And then came the spring/ summer 2010 show. No dancers or crazy antics. All they had to show was the excellent craftsmanship of G Star's sleek, utilitarian style.
We wanted people to wear head-to-toe white all summer because it looks clean, fresh and surprisingly bold. It looks like for G Star's spring/summer 2010, it's going to be just that. Spectacular.

To compliment the strength of our Filippa K men's basics, we decided to carry selections from Band of Outsiders that reinterprets the classic looks and fits of 1960s European fashions with a casual American attitude.
We are so excited we want to do the classic dance from the film!
This fall season, Scott Sternberg, who is as big a Jean-Luc Godard fan as I am, was inspired by one of Godard's socialist masterpieces, La Chinoise. The film features the filmmakers on-going color themes of red, white, blue and yellow as does Sternberg's collection.
Images of what we have coming soon.... (apologies, I broke my camera and I am replacing it soon).

Our beloved Alix left us in SF to venture off to academia (in SLC). We know it isn't a permanent goodbye, but it has been feeling a bit empty here without him. Everyone here at the store wishes him luck in school and awaits his return. We know that though we cannot see him with our eyes, we can still feel him in our hearts.
We love you very much, Alix.
Starting Friday, October 23rd, Bastille SLC will be having a Summer Collection Sale. Enjoy savings up to 30% off regular prices.
Playing this at the shop right now. What a legend. What style!
